CHS Takes Victory on the Links

Corinth came out on top at the match against New Albany and Ripley. Josh Webb was the Medalist with a score of 37. He was supported by Curt Butler and Brandon Robbins who both shot a 39. Carson Butler followed with a score of 43. Daniel Bishop finished the match with a 44. The team has a record of 3-0-1.

Warriors Win in nine-team match

The Warriors came out on top in the five county tournament by shooting 312. Curt Butler (76) and Brandon Robbins (76) both drove the Warriors to their third win of the season. Other team members contributing to the score were: Carson Butler 79, Josh Webb 81, and Daniel Bishop 83. Congratulations to the team for their victory.

Corinth Golf Comes in Second

Corinth came in second place with a score of 160 in the golf tournament on Tuesday, April 5. Central won with a score of 153. Tupelo Gold came in third with 162. Tupelo Blue followed with 163, and Saltillo came in last with 179. Corinth's scores were: Curt Butler 37, Josh Webb 39, Brandon Robbins 41, Daniel Bishop 43, and Carson Butler 45. Congratulations to the golf team!


CHS Golf Edges Out Central

Corinth beat Central at Hillandale Country Club on Thursday. Brandon Robbins had the best score of 33 and shared the medalist honor with Chase Williams of Central who also had a 33. Other scorers included Josh Webb with 37, Curt Butler with 40, Daniel Bishop with 41, and Carson Butler with 44. Their total score, 151, edged out Central's 159.


Corinth Birdies the Competition

Curt Butler led the Corinth Warriors to a division title in 1-3A golf on Monday. The senior, who has signed with Northeast, proves to be a very strong and vital competitor for the Warriors, leading the pack that eventually secured an eight stroke lead. Butler ended the match with a score of 68. Other CHS golfers who finished well are Brandon Robbins(74), Josh Webb (76), Daniel Bishop (80), and Carson Butler (83). The CHS team's competition throughout the day was Alcorn Central (306), Senatobia (314), Ripley (361), Kossuth (373), and North Pontotoc (409). Corinth High School and Alcorn Central High School qualified for the state tournament to be held on May 10-11 at the Forest County Club. Good Luck, Warriors!!

The Warriors of the links played great golf to claim the third-place spot in the state tournament Wednesday. The Warriors totaled 646 for the tourney, behind only Alcorn Central (642) and winner West Lauderdale (621).
Corinth's own Curt Butler finished third overall in the state with a final total of 153. Josh Webb totaled 159, Brandon Robbins, 169, Daniel Bishop, 173, and Carson Butler, 180.

Golf Team Is After a State Title!

The Corinth Warrior golf team is two shots behind the leader, West Lauderdale, with the Central Bears in third with two shots behind Corinth. Curt Butler is leading the Warriors with a score of 75. Also playing for the Warriors are; Josh Webb(74), Brandon Robbins(81), Carson Butler(82) and Daniel Bishop(90). Corinth could win the first state championship since winning five in a row from 1984-1988. Corinth will continue its play today at Forrest Country Club for the 3A State Championship.

Golf Team Headed to State

The Corinth High School golf team qualified for the state tournament, by coming in second in the division tournament. The state tournament is held on May 3-5, 2004. The golf team is made up of Curt Butler, Daniel Bishop, Josh Webb, Carson Butler, and Brandon Robbins. We wish the best of luck to the CHS Golf team!

The Warrior linksters are headed back for their 7th shot at a state title in the 13 years led by Coach David Robbins. The Warriors finished five strokes behind Alcorn Central Monday in the division 1-3A golf tournament. The Corinth club, who is playing better with every match, was led by Curt Butler's 72 and Carson Butler's 74. The golf team will travel to Forest Country Club on May 4-5 for the state competition.

Corinth finishes first in Golf action!!

The Corinth golf team finished at the top with a score of 154 over Central and Kossuth. Curt Butler led the Warriors to victory with a score of 37. Other individual scores were Josh Webb 38, Daniel Bishop 39, Brandon Robbins 40, and Carson Butler 42. The golf team's record is now 13-6. Congratulations to the golf team and good luck in Division 1-3A play, which begins Monday, April 19 at 10 A.M. at Hillandale Country Club.


Corinth Falls Three Strokes Short

The boys golf team came up three strokes short during golf action at the Hillandale Country Club. Curt Butler and Josh Webb were one shot off from the top score of 33. Individual scores were: Curt Butler 34, Josh Webb 34, Brandon Robbins 39, Carson Butler 40, Daniel Bishop 44. Corinth's overall score was 147 as they came up second place. The boys play again at Hillandale on Thursday, April 8. Congratulations and good luck to these boys


Golf Team Comes in Second

Curt Butler led the way for the Warriors with a 37. The Warriors finished second yesterday at Hillandale Country Club. Alcorn Central won with a score of 150. Saltillo finished third with 180 and Kossuth finished fourth with 212.


Corinth Achieves Second Place in Local Golf Match

At the Hillandale Country Club yesterday, Central High School took first place with 154 strokes. Our own Corinth High School trailed closely behind with 162 strokes, while Ripley High School held 176 strokes, and Kossuth High School came in last place with 197 strokes. Carson Butler, Daniel Bishop, and Curt Butler tied with the least amount of strokes for CHS,40, while Brandon Robbins and Josh Webb each held 42 strokes.
Congratulations, boys! Keep up the good work!

Corinth loses another close golf match

The Varsity Golf team traveled to Saltillo on March 8 to play in a match against Central, Amory, Saltillo, and North Pontotoc. The boys did a great job and fell short by only 11 strokes. Corinth (4-2) finished second at 178 with Josh Webb's 41 leading the scores for Coach Robbins. Individual scores for Corinth were: Josh Webb 41, Curt Butler 44, Brandon Robbins 46, Daniel Bishop 47, and Alex Hurst 49. Congratulations to these guys on a great match!

Warriors Fall 3 Strokes Short

The CHS Golf team only came up three strokes short in their match versus Ripley and Alcorn Central. Even though the golf team is young, they did a great job. Junior Curt Butler was only one shot back at 39. Individual Corinth scores include: Curt Butler 39, Brandon Robbins 40, Daniel Bishop 43, Josh Webb 43, and Carson Butler 45. The Warriors came out three strokes short of Alcorn Central and 6 strokes ahead of Ripley. The Warriors will travel to Saltillo on Monday, March 8 at 3 p.m. Congratulations and good luck!
